Ashana Nandram is Of Counsel to the firm, concentrating in matrimonial and family law. Ashana received her Bachelor of Arts and Master’s degrees in Chemistry from CUNY Queens College in 2009. Upon the completion of her Master’s degree, Ashana became a Chemistry Adjunct Lecturer at SUNY Maritime College and St. John’s University, in addition to being a teaching Assistant at Queens College. She then moved onto become the Instructional Support Associate at SUNY Maritime College from 2010 until 2021.

Ashana attended the evening program at St. John’s University, School of Law, while working full time at SUNY Maritime College. In 2017, Ashana was awarded the Hon. Giles S. Rich Diversity Scholarship. After graduating law school in June 2018, she worked as a Law Clerk and Associate Attorney  specializing in  immigration, matrimonial, and family law matters at several boutique law firms in Queens and Long Island.

After being admitted to the New York Bar in October 2019, Ashana completed the New York State Unified Court System Approved Mediation Training at the Elizabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University and received her certification in Advanced Matrimonial Mediation Training with Stalder Mediation.

Ashana advocates for clients in all areas of matrimonial and family law, including divorce, separation, equitable distribution, spousal maintenance, child custody, visitation, child support, orders of protection and modifications.

Ashana was born and raised in Guyana and is an immigrant in the United States.
